Hi I'm Morgan

I find joy in capturing all the little moments and giving you memories of this time of your life that will last forever

I am 27 years old, a mother of two and graduate of Mount Allison University. I always had a camera in my hand, but it was during boarding school in New York state back in 2012 that my photography journey started. My school had a beautiful digital and darkroom studio and I took full advantage.

I find it strange trying to describe who I am as I really feel I am a little bit of everything. I love the gym and crossfit, yet would never turn down a spa day. I am arsty and creative, yet can’t draw at all. I am a mix of having everything together while living day to day in the chaos of little kids.

I think what it really comes down to is I am flexible, patient, and always up to take a ride and see where I end up. I see the positive before the negative and truly love meeting and talking to people. Photography for me is not pictures. Yes pictures are the beautiful product of it all, but photography is connection, beauty and living in the moment. I am here to create an experience and celebrate the little part of your life you let me in on. Photography to me is about connection, creating memories to last a lifetime.

My journey to become an entrepreneur

My father got my a canon DSLR for my 16th birthday and despite seeing myself as a science student I jumped right into art class. All my initial photography training is from my 3 years at boarding school, and I completed my senior project using cyanotype exposure to create life size portraits.

After high school I thought my only option was to complete a bachelors degree. I attended Mount Allison University for 4 years and earned a BcS in Psychology and Biochemistry (went back to the science side). My camera stayed closed by, was a hobby for these years as I focused on studying. I graduated in 2020, in the midst of the Covid Pandemic, and worked a few odd jobs before finding myself on maternity leave.

As I took my son home from the hospital I knew I needed to find a way to stay home with him. I knew photography, but nothing yet about business. I took my maternity leave to gain the courage and confidence to run a business, and launched Moment Photography Collective in 2022. I am so happy I followed my heart, trusted my support system and found the most amazing clients to share this journey with.

I now get to be a full time stay at home mom, and full time entrepreneur. It is a beautiful, busy, plentiful life. I absolutely love what I get to do and am so grateful my journey into motherhood also became a journey to connect with you through photography.
